When you answer the question “who am I?” what language do you use?  Do you use active language or language from the history of your life? Are you forward thinking, visionary, or stale?  When you first think of your answer do you respond with an occupation or deeper from your core center?

One of the most powerful questions you can ever ask yourself  is, "Who Am I?"

Not only in regards to your value in life, but how do you value your life?  What gifts do you have that no one else has?  What makes you unique, because you ARE unique!  There is no one that has or will ever walk this planet exactly like you.  How uniquely special you are!  You have gifts and treasures within you - do you honor them daily?  Do you give thanks for your creation and soul of magnificence?  If not, why not begin today!

Alan Watts in "The Way of Zen" states,

“The conventional ‘self’ or ‘person’ is composed mainly of a history consisting of selected memories…I am not simply what I am doing now.  I am also what I have done, and my conventionally edited version of my past is made to seem almost the more real ‘me’ than what I am at this moment.  For what I AM seems so fleeting and intangible, but what I WAS is fixed and final.  It is the firm basis for predictions of what I will be in the future, and so it comes about that I am more closely identified with what no longer exists than with what actually is!"

In 'Spectrum of Consciousness,' Ken Wilber says, "...the ego looks to the future where it imagines that some ultimate happiness awaits it...the ego is happy today only if promised a happy tomorrow, and the best news for the ego is that it has a "bright future," not that it has a bright present.  ...but that future will never  be enjoyed, for it doesn't exist now, and when it does arrive, by definition the ego will then be content only if promised yet another happy future!"

This is why I say it is so important to connect to your core, your love center and to fully and completely appreciate its gift for you.  It is your soul and life’s energy that when you connect directly with it supersedes the ego all together.  No longer is there any sense of duality, right vs. wrong, love vs. hate, subject vs. object.  At this deep level of your self, all is love and all is one with God.  For me, this is the God of the Bible and whenever I connect with my love core center today I feel God directly.

Before my own discovery of my self-love and purpose in life I was lost - stuck and confused about who I was.  Once I discovered my true I Am, everything else fell into place.  Everyone of those opening questions are answered with the knowing of my I Am.  It is a freedom like none other I ever experienced and all encompassing peace as well.  For me, peace was what I was searching for before my self-discovery and peace is what I received as an indirect result of discovering my I Am.

Take some time to ask yourself these very important questions.  Questions truly are the answer to almost anything holding us back.  Obstacles are only that because we can't see around them with our current thinking.  Questions open up new pathways and enlighten what could not otherwise be seen.  Stay tuned for my soon to be released book that will go into great depths on this subject offering hope for you to unlock and get to know your true "I Am."
